Kay retired after 30 years of teaching K-5 music for the Clark County School District which included 20 years at a magnet school for the creative arts. She is currently teaching K-7 music at a Las Vegas charter school with an emphasis in integration of the arts. She is published in Las Vegas Writes I, II, and III, is an active workshop presenter and has presented at national AOSA, NAfME and TMEA conferences. Kay served as co-chair for the 2000, 2004 and 2015 AOSA National Conferences and chaired the Conference Committee on the AOSA National Board of trustees for 2005-2006. In 2007 Kay was honored for her early teaching and as founder of the Children’s Music Festival in the Cayman Islands. She has served as the Recording Secretary and Treasurer on the AOSA National Board of Trustees.
